Where We Came From, Where We're Going

The Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour began eight years ago this August. It started with 150 loyal players and families participating in 6 events and a Tour Championship.  As word spread through the coming seven seasons the OJGT has now grown to over 350 members from six states and it now boasts 22 events in the Summer/Fall 2009 season! Since its inception the OJGT has, at last count over 120 players whom have gone on to play intercollegiate golf throughout the United States. OJGT players have played at all levels of college golf from junior college to NCAA Division I. Our ranks have included the USGA Junior Champion in 2005, at least 28 Oklahoma State High School Champions, several Texas State High School Champions, one Missouri State High School Champion, one Kansas High School Champion, and numerous all-state honorees throughout the region. OJGT players have won numerous times on the prestigious American Junior Golf Tour. Our members have finished in the top-five in the Nationally renowned Future Collegians World Tour National Championship the past three years, and won several of their regular season events. Several of our players have won events on the neighboring Texas Junior Tour. These are but a few of our proud heritage of great players. As you can see very plainly….For such a young tour, the competition level is “out of site!”
